Aftercare: What to Do After Extracting

The session is over, the footage looks great, and now your skin wants a little care. Here’s the aftercare we use.

Right after

1. Pat on an alcohol-free toner like Thayers toner. Don’t rub.
2. Add hydration with an essence like COSRX Snail Essence.
3. Finish with a simple moisturizer.
4. A cold roll with our Pore Tube Dual Ice Roller feels great and is a nice finish.

For the next 24 hours

• Skip strong acids, retinoids, scrubs and masks.
• Don’t touch or re-work the area.
• Keep makeup light if you can.
• Wear sunscreen if you’re heading out.

Hands off

If you know you’ll be tempted to pick, cover a spot overnight with a hydrocolloid patch like Hero Mighty Patch. It’s a barrier, and the morning reveal is a bonus.

When to get help

If an area becomes painful, swollen, hot or doesn’t settle, stop and see a professional.
