It’s one of our favorite comparison videos for a reason: strips and extractors both work, they just do different jobs.

Bioré strips · Pore Tube Extractor Kit · Tweezerman loop extractor · NanoSteamer
Pore strips
Good at: grabbing the tops of surface blackheads and fuzz across a whole area in one go. Best for: quick, low-effort nose sessions and total beginners. Watch out for: using them too often, or on dry, sunburned or irritated skin. Our pick: Bioré strips.
Loop extractors
Good at: precise, one-at-a-time extraction of individual blackheads. Best for: people who want control and a cleaner result on specific spots. Watch out for: pressing too hard or working on inflamed skin. Our pick: the Pore Tube Extractor Kit, or the Tweezerman loop extractor if you want a single tool.
Our verdict
Use a strip as a quick reset, use a loop for the stubborn individual ones, and prep before both. Steam first with a NanoSteamer or a warm cloth and you’ll get more out of either method.
